From our origins as a vintage hair salon based in Southampton's French Quarter, Vintage Hair Lounge has developed an exciting portfolio of location based work and now fully embraces the opportunities this gives to spread our unique experience further afield. We appear regularly at Vintage Revivals, Festivals and Fairs, offer vintage wedding hair and make-up, co-ordinate retro photoshoot packages, continue to work in film, television and theatre productions and have launched a range of pop up High Street Vintage Hair Lounge parlours.
Our director Sharon Holloway has 10 years of experience as a Hair and Make-up Artist (The Young Victoria, Elizabeth The Golden Age) and Designer (Krakatoa, A Life Without Work, Saxon) and Prosthetics & Special Effects (Talaash, Police Bravery Awards) in film, television, theatre, music video and commercial productions, and is able to advise upon and meet your production needs. As a team, Vintage Hair Lounge has an impressive range of event experience, having appeared at Vintage at Goodwood, Goodwood Revival, Vintage at Southbank, Battistinis Retro Revival and South Coast Internationals. We created the sixties hair & makeup looks for The Graduate at Southampton's Nuffield Theatre, produced a range of our own in-house short films including Gang Girls, Seeing You, and Shooting Mermaid Making Fish!, and have collaborated with a range of great photographers.
